These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of SepticListUSA.com (the “Site”), operated by SepticListUSA. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms.

Description of Service

SepticListUSA is a directory and lead-matching service that connects homeowners with licensed septic installers and pumpers in Alabama, and provides educational information about how septic inspections work under Alabama law. We are not a septic contractor and do not perform septic installation, pumping, or inspection services ourselves.

No Guarantee of Contractor Work Quality

Contractors listed on the Site are independent businesses, not employees or agents of SepticListUSA. Licensing information is sourced from the Alabama Onsite Wastewater Board (AOWB) public roster and, for claimed listings, from contractor-submitted data. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, timeliness, or outcome of any work performed by a listed contractor, and we recommend independently verifying license status via the AOWB before hiring.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SepticListUSA and its owners, officers, and employees are not liable for any damages, losses, or claims arising from your use of the Site or your interactions with any contractor found through the Site, including but not limited to damages related to workmanship, property damage, missed appointments, or billing disputes between you and a contractor.

Contractor Listings

Contractors may claim a free listing or purchase a featured listing that receives forwarded leads. Featured listings are billed month-to-month with no long-term contract and may be canceled at any time through the self-serve billing portal. We cap the number of contractors a single lead is forwarded to and do not sell leads as “exclusive.”

SMS Terms

By submitting your phone number through any form on SepticListUSA.com, you consent to receive text messages from SepticListUSA related to your service request or contractor listing, including verification codes and lead notifications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for assistance. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
